I've been digging through several boxes of inventory given to me years ago by a colleague when she closed her mall space due to major illness. I found 2 small pottery vases -- possibly by the same maker -- that have molded designs and handles and underglaze white "sponged" detail. My colleague tagged one "Shawnee green vase" and the other simply "small green vase." Actually the latter is more of a dark turquoise than true green. Can anyone confirm if one or both of these vases are Shawnee, or something else entirely? Shawnee ? green vase Tag #1426 5-1/4" high, 2" mouth, 2-5/8" rim diameter, 2-1/2" base diameter Molded design on 2 sides suggests an arrow or shooting star. Underglaze white "sponged" design. Split glazed/unglazed base. Small blue-green vase Tag #1600 5-7/8" high, 2-1/8" mouth, 2-1/2" rim diameter, 2-1/2" base diameter Molded design on 2 sides suggests a curling wave.
