I enjoy reading Harlequin novels from authors that follow a theme from book to book.Raisedin Devonshire, England, Betty Neels trained as a nurse and midwife. She was an army nurse during the war. She took up writing after her retirement from nursing. Most of her books that I have read are about a Dutchman in a medical field and a young women as a nurse or connected in some way to hospitals or other caregiving vocations.
The books are easy to read and leave a pleasant feeling when finished. In her thirty years as an author Betty Neels gepleted 134 books and was still writing into her ninetieth year. She passed away in June 2001, but there were still stories to be published, and books to be reissued.
