NEW T Mobile Sidekick iD Features and Details T-Mo SKiD

Hi! This is a guide for the new and upgeing T-Mobile Sidekick iD, also lovingly known as the SKiD. So, what is the SKiD? The new Sidekick iD is a stripped down version of the Sidekick line of phones to be offered at a lower cost. Those who want to enjoy the benefits and style of the widely popular Sidekick phones can now do so at a more affordable price (with less features ofcourse).
So, exactly what will the Sidekick iD offer? For one thing, it will still keep the basic functions of the other Sidekick phones (and yes, it will still look like a Sidekick with the signature "kick" swivel screen).

The Sidekick iD will keep the basic e-mailing, instant messaging (IM) and phoning capabilites of the Sidekick phones, but in a sleeker body with a trackball much like the Sidekick 3. It also adds on the Sidekick 3's operating system and web browser, with software improvements.
Not only that, but the Sidekick iD will sport new, various colored snap-on faceplates for better personlizing and customizing of the exterior. They will retail for around $20 a set. Also to note: Battery life has gained somewhat (Sidekick iD's 5.3 hrs talktime and 144 hrs standby time VS Sidekick 3's 4.5 hrs talktime and 72 hrs standby time)

But since this will be the "stripped down", lower cost version of the Sidekick phones, exactly what features will be taken away?

Camera
Bluetooth
Music (MP3) player feature
Expandable mini SD slot

So, what will the price tag be?
At retail price, it will be around $150
With a qualifying 2 year plan and rebate from T-Mobile, it will be $99
Release date: The T-Mobile Sidekick iD will be available at T-Mobile retail locations and online store beginning April 25th.
